Central Elementary-High School recently hosted a Voter Registration Drive to encourage eligible students to become active participants in the democratic process.

The event was sponsored by the Central Library Media Program and spearheaded by Media Specialist Keniece Adams in partnership with the Greenville-Manchester Area Alumnae Chapter (GMAAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. The chapter proudly serves Meriwether and Talbot counties in Georgia.

During the drive, eligible students ages 17½ and older were given the opportunity to register to vote. Representatives assisted students throughout the registration process and emphasized the importance of making their voices heard through informed civic participation.

The Voter Registration Drive reflected the Central Library Media Program’s commitment to preparing students not only for academic success, but also for responsible citizenship. By providing students with direct access to voter registration resources, the program helped them take an important first step toward exercising their right to vote.
