TALBOT COUNTY BOARD OF EDUCATION
Talbot County Board of Education announces a vacancy for a District 4 School Board Member. To be eligible to be a Board Member, a person must be a citizen of the State of Georgia, be at least 21 years of age, be of good moral character, have a fair knowledge of the elementary branches of an English education, be favorable to the common school system and be a resident of Talbot County and of the District 4 area he/she will represent.
No person shall be a member of the Board if that person is ineligible for such office pursuant to Code Section 20-1-51 or 45-2-1 of the O.C.G.A. or any other general law.
A person must have resided in District 4 for at least 12 months prior to being appointed and continue to reside in that district during that person’s term of office.
Appointee will serve until the end of the term on December 31, 2024.
